Jochheims Pies started in 1963 when Darcy Jochheim and his wife Merle purchased the Bakery from Darcys’ uncle, Stan Williamson. From 1963 till 1975 Jochheims operated out of an old wooden shop front building with a small pie heater and a house fridge as the drink fridge. In 1975 two new shops were built with Jochheims occupying 1 shop and a Hot Bread shop in the other.
In 1996 son in law Paddy O’Regan (who stared at the business in 1976) and daughter Jayne bought into the business and bought the remainder of the business 3 years later. Since 1999 additional equipment and renovations have been carried out including a sidewalk dining area. Then in April 2003 the hairdresser shop next door was renovated to add an air conditioned dine in café for up to 65 customers.
